SMS Terms

1. Program Description

Steven Stewart LLC (also doing business as Stewart Asset Protection Law and Stewart IP Law) sends SMS text messages to existing and prospective clients who have provided express written consent. Messages are sent by attorneys and staff of the firm and are limited to communications directly related to the recipient’s legal matter.

Message types may include:

  • Scheduling confirmations and appointment reminders
  • Case status updates and important deadlines
  • Document requests and submission confirmations
  • Retainer, billing, and payment notifications
  • Follow-up communications related to your legal matter
  • Links to schedule consultations (e.g., https://calendly.com/steven-tots/30min)
No Marketing: The firm does not send promotional or bulk marketing messages. Messages are sent solely to individuals with an active or pending legal matter who have opted in.

2. Consent & Opt-In

SMS messages are sent only to individuals who have provided express written consent through the firm’s client intake process. Consent is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of receiving legal services.

Messages are never sent to purchased, rented, or third-party contact lists.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the nature and activity level of your legal matter. You may receive occasional messages at any stage of your engagement with the firm.

4. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan’s messaging and data charges.

5. How to Opt Out

You may withdraw your consent to receive SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:

Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any messages sent prior to your opt-out request. After opting out, you will receive no further SMS messages from the firm unless you provide new consent.

7. Supported Carriers

SMS messaging is available through most major U.S. carriers. Carrier support may vary. The firm is not responsible for any delays or failures in message delivery due to carrier limitations or network conditions.

Your mobile number and any information you share with the firm via SMS is treated as confidential and used solely in connection with your legal matter. The firm does not share, sell, or disclose your mobile number or SMS content to third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide legal services.
